Quickfire is more than just a simple media player. Besides playing video files, the application allows you to make various annotations and visual adjustments. It provides many other useful functions, which make it an excellent solution for artists and professionals, when it comes to reviewing a video or other related tasks. What's more, you can have it up and running in no time and you don't have to pay for it.

In terms of appearance, Quickfire is not too different from other media players you may be used to. When launched, the application will display its main window, on which you can add your video files, in one or more playlists. Videos can be moved from one playlists to another, flagged and more. Also, you can save your current session, so you will be able to resume your work in any situation.

It should be fairly obvious that videos can be played right away by simply double clicking them. You can perform usual operations, while playing a video, like jumping to a specific point in the timeline or taking snapshots, but you can also perform other advanced tasks. The application provides numerous customization controls, on a drawer menu and on several floating panels. Bookmarking frames, to find them instantly later on, tweaking the video's colors, inserting text and drawing directly on the video are just a few examples of what you can do.

The player's controls are quite simple and easy to understand, so you won't encounter any kind of difficulties, regardless of what operation you wish to perform. Also, you should not encounter any issues regarding compatibility. Quickfire provides support for numerous video formats, so you will be able to play just about any videos.

Pros

You can organize video files in several playlists, flag them and save your session. The application allows you to annotate videos and make visual adjustments. It can be installed on a Mac in no time and it is offered free of charge.

Cons

The player doesn't provide support for audio files. If you want to do more than just watching a video, then Quickfire is definitely something you should try.
